One of the most basic yet one of the most difficult cocktails to get right, the Manhattan is the Godfather of cocktails.

The secret to making a Manhattan is choosing the best ingredients, measuring them super accurately and making sure the drink is as cold as it can possibly be.

My perfect Manhattan is made from;

45ml of Rye or Bourbon Whiskey (Woodford Reserve)

15ml of Dolin Rouge sweet vermouth.

1 dash of Angostura bitters.

Pour the ingredients into a a shaker, fill with ice and stir for about 20 seconds before straining into a chilled coupette (or martini) glass.
